Why do we love this case?

This bomb of a case goes from juicy-fresh to seriously savoury. From a glorious mix of mild and warm climates, there’s a red in here for every occasion. Bright and floral to big and bold, these reds are ANYTHING but simple.

Each case contains TWO of each of the following:

When looking at a deal at this price, the question could be raised “yes that’s a great deal but what about the quality?” Well, we love it but don’t take our word for it. With strong reviews and the consistency CW Wines is known for, be assured you’ll be just as happy with the quality as you are with the price. Wonderfully ripe and inviting, the perfumed bouquet shows dark fruit intensity combined with violet, vanillin oak, cocoa and subtle spice notes, leading to a concentrated palate that’s opulent and persistent. The wine is powerful and richly textured with excellent fruit purity, seamlessly framed by silky tannins. Drink now, it’s good to go!

Santa & D’Sas The King and I Nuovo Rosso 2019
Allspice
Blackberry
Redcurrant
Medium-bodied

Concentrated

This is yet another incredibly smashable wine from the team at Santa & D’Sas, up in the King Valley. It’s a classic Italian rosso style red, made from shiraz, sangiovese and merlot. No need to get hung up on details with this one, but we will mention there is no oak, which means the pristine fruit is just singing! Drinkability is off the charts with bright red fruits, a soft mid-palate and smooth tannin. Whether you are dialling in or making from scratch, meat-lovers special or funghi delight - we say, pizza please!

This is Tabalí’s Reserva cabernet, sourced from the Dom vineyard in Maipo Valley. For those in the know, it isn’t news that Chile provides some of the best bang for your buck cabernet anywhere in the world. The complexity, balance and length found in the price of a weeknight quaffer is unrivalled. This has lifted blackberry and blackcurrant, buttressed by some sneaky spicy notes and chalky fine tannins. You’d be hard pressed to find this wines compete at this price no matter where you look.

Sieber SMM Shiraz Montepulciano Mataro 2019

Sieber, oh how we’ve missed you! It’s been a while since we’ve had the pleasure of offering this mofo fave (try 8 years). We couldn’t get enough of their shiraz back in the day, and we’re even more pumped about this one. The blend of shiraz, montepulciano and mataro is a match made in heaven. The trio comes together with ease, hitting all the sweet spots of cherries, chocolate, black olive and spice that you want from a full-bodied Barossa red. Just like the life of the party, this wine is generous, hearty in character and a genuine delight to have around. All we have to say is: welcome home old friend.

Casaponte Chianti DOCG 2019
Cherry
Savoury
Spice
Full-bodied
Grippy
Concentrated

Bright and crunchy, this is the cheeky upstart Chianti that could. In fact, it totally knows it can, too. Loads of red cherry and plum, juicy and lifted. This is on the lighter side for a Chianti, and sings all the right tunes: a little chalkiness, fruit fullness and the right amount of indifferent, upstart attitude. But unlike that adorable train from the classic children’s story, this is for adults only.

Luigi Bosca Tabu Malbec 2021
Earthy
Plum
Spice
Full-bodied
Smooth
Concentrated

The history of Bodega Luigi Bosca dates back to the turn of the 20th century when the Arizu family from Basque country and the Bosca family from Piemonte joined efforts upon their arrival in Argentina. After four generations, the Arizu family still runs the day-to-day operations as the winery charges ahead well into the 21st century. Tabu is their expression of an approachable, drink-now style of Malbec. It carries all the driving fruit intensity expected out of Mendoza with hints of cherry and spice, a smooth texture and ripe tannins. And since it’s a red wine from Argentina, you already know the perfect food pairing - a nice thick cut of steak grilled to perfection.
